We're hiring a Business Development Representative to support the growth of a rapidly expanding fire protection contractor serving commercial, industrial, and residential clients across New Jersey. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to break into outside sales or grow their career in construction/business development, with a clear path into Account Executive or Sales leadership roles. You'll play a key role in generating new business by building relationships and identifying opportunities across construction projects, service contracts, and inspections.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities (calls, emails, LinkedIn, in-person)
  • Identify potential clients including GCs, property managers, developers, and building owners
  • Set meetings and qualify leads for senior sales team
  • Promote services including fire system installation, inspections, service, and repairs
  • Build relationships and stay top-of-mind with prospects
  • Track activity and pipeline in CRM
  • Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to support deals
Core focus: build pipeline + create revenue opportunities
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in sales, customer-facing roles, or business development (even entry-level)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable with outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn)
  • Organized and able to manage multiple prospects
Nice to Have (Not Required):
  • Construction, HVAC, mechanical, or fire protection exposure
  • CRM experience (Salesforce or similar)
  • Prior lead generation or inside sales experience
